GameCraft Miniatures (GCmini) is a 13 year old company that has grown from one product on a free GoDaddy website to a company that has nearly 6000 products and ships dozens of orders a day from two online stores as well as Amazon, ebay, and etsy. Our number one goal is to provide great products at reasonable prices and keep our customers and employees happy. Our owner believes you can only succeed over the long haul if you have happy customers and employees.
This page will take you through the process of applying for a position at GameCraft Miniatures
Important note: We do not have a firm date for when we will make the move to Harriman; it might be in the middle of year, it could be later than that. But we are starting early, looking for the perfect people to join us. We are looking for people that see what we are doing and say “I want to work for that company and be a part of what they are doing”, we are not looking for people that say “I need a job right now”.
What we are looking for in an employee
At GameCraft we look for employees who are trustworthy, honest, hard working, and that care about the work that they do and the product we produce. We look for people that are searching for a place to work for a very long time, we are not looking for someone that just “needs a job”, we want someone to be a part of what we are doing and care deeply about what we are doing, so we can all be successful, together.
Prior experience is not necessary; we can train you to do the work. However, we cannot train you to have a good work ethic, honesty, or trustworthiness…. you need to bring that with you.
We are a small company with a handful of employees, and we value having a stress-free and pleasant work environment. So, you must be easy to get along with, easy to work with, and fit in with our little “family”.
We are not terribly interested in your prior experience; we are interested in you and why you want to work for us and what you can bring to our company.
What you should do right now
Right now, you should go to GCmini.com and have a good look around our site. Take your time, learn what we do, see the products we manufacture, and see the products we are resellers for. Learn what you can about our company from our website and think about how you would fit into a company like GCmini and what you can bring to the company. Think about what excites you about what we do and what opportunities you see for yourself working with us. In you have prior experience, that’s great, but what we are most interested in you and why you want to work for us and what you can bring to our company.
How to apply
Once you have completed the steps above, send the owner (Allen) an email at the address below and tell him all about yourself and why you want to work for GameCraft. Including a resume is fine if you have one, but not necessary. Prior experience is fine, but also not necessary. Experience with miniatures gaming is good, but again, not necessary.
Send your letter of introduction to allen@gcmini.com
A few notes:
As stated above, trustworthiness and honesty is high on our list of things we are looking for. A potential employee will be required to submit to a criminal background check (at our expense). A criminal history does not automatically exclude a candidate. Each situation is looked at on a case by case basis. … So, just be honest with us.
We do not do pre-employment drug screening. What you do on your own time is none of our business. However if you show up to work impaired you will be sent home. Again, we do not care what you do on your time, we do care what you do on our time.
